16 is normally the legal age to work. Some places will let you work at age 14, but with restrictions on the number of hours per week and how late you can work (I think you can't work past 10:00 p.m. if you are under 16). Do a search regarding child labor laws in your state. Good luck!

Some places have a policy of different ages. Most is 16 but you can work publicly at a younger age. I suggest you call them to find out.
