I get really annoyed when some people try to dismiss Queen Nefertiti (a Black African woman) as King Tut's mother.
In one of my Shakespearean classes in college, a teacher went on a random tangent about how Cleopatra had no ounce of Black blood in her but was mixed with Greek and Roman and nothing else. Come on now...
P.S.
Eh Dee, I live in Cali too, and you should know that we don't say Hispanics any longer. The word is Latino, or Chicano.

I am not sure but I do remember how funny it was when this one lady on facebook was making a federal case out of the fact that Egyptians were black. She was also always going on and on about how white people were racists and how they enslaved black people. But then when she made her post making a big deal about how the Egyptians were black, I reminded her that in the Bible it says that it was the Egyptians who enslaved the Hebrews. Then she shut up about it. I mean, you know.... because the Egyptians were black and they enslaved the Hebrews. LOL! She is a Christian and so she knows good and well that the Bible says that. She didn't answer me a word on that one.
Can't Black people do anything else besides talking about the fact that they are Black? I think everyone already realizes that, and if they don't want people being prejudiced against them, perhaps they should stop revolving their every waking moment around that. Like as in... talk about something different than being Black. sheesh!
It just amuses me that first they say we are all the same and that they want to be treated equally, then they go making a big deal out of whether Queen Elizabeth was black or not or whether Santa Claus is white. WHO CARES? Please find something different to obsess about!

Ramses the Second,Dynastic Egypts most famous pharaoh had ginger red wavy and and a thin nose when they excavated him.
Meaning the Egyptians were not black no matter how many Afrocentrist academics out of Chicago, Atlanta, Detroit, and Africa say otherwise.
It's bad enough Egypt has the jews hating them, the last thing they need is a group of idiots trying to steal thier history to.
Black supremacists have no respect for anyone or anything

How can whites or anyone steal history? History is history. It is what it is. Besides, who cares what color a person's skin is. Stop making a big racial deal out of everything or there will always be racism. I've never once thought about the race of a person when studying history as opposed to studying his/her accomplishments. Your comment about "pale pasty whites" was racist, rude, and uncalled for. Good luck. 2D

Wow. Don't know where to start with that one.
The history of Egypt is rather long. The origins of the Egyptian people have been traced to the Pleistocene epoch, where groups of hunter gatherers in the lower Nile river valley coalesced. Later, around 3,500 b.c., the upper and lower Nile valley people merged into a single 'Egyptian' people with similar language and cultural markers.
Ancient Egypt as an empire lasted until the reign of Cleopatra VII, when in 31 b.c. Egypt was defeated in the battle of Actium by the Roman forces of Gaius Augustus Caesar. (Note: Cleopatra herself was a member of the Ptolomeic Dynasty. It's founder, PtoloemyI Soter, was a Macedonian (Greek) who governed the region after Alexander the Great's forces conquered the nation in early 3rd century b.c.)
Though the modern nation of Egypt has numerous ethnic populations, Egyptians as a people are believed to have changed little since the time of the Pleistocene, even with the numerous invasions and conquests.
And though Egyptians are Africans(in that the country is and always has been located on the African continent.), they have a distinct ethnic identity and are not, as you put it, black. (North African ethnic groups in general are not Black. )
And I have no idea how to address the 'stealing' aspect of the question.
Hope that helps a little.

In order to dehumanize and colonize a culture you have to convince everyone (including people in the colonizer's culture) that the subjugated culture was less intelligent and needed your "help." Therefore, any great leaders, philosophers, scholars, etc. must be depicted as a member of your own culture (ie. white).
Obviously Nefertiti and Jesus weren't white, but they were depicted as such for so long that you still have misconceptions coming from people who fail to educate themselves. Helll, I even saw Sacajawa depicted as a blonde once! It's ridiculous, and anyone with half a brain knows it's ridiculous.

That's funny. I don't see any white people claiming that King Tut was white either. Is there perhaps something on your mind that's bothering you like you got stopped while driving for no apparent reason and you're taking it out on every white Egyptologist? Take care , bro. Racism is a two way street. It works both ways. You're proving it.
Peace
