My grandad was unlucky... he used to sleep with his head under the pillow until he woke up one morning to discover the fairies had pinched his teeth. There was an occasion when we had a party in the garden and a wasp landed in my grandads ear so my grandma shot it. His only claim to fame was at the beginning of WW2 when he happened to be over in France when the first shot was fired in anger, he was quickly back over here in England when they fired the second.
