wow, everyone having healthcare and not having to talk to an insurance company before seing a doctor is a bad thing? Are republicans really THAT blind that they can't see Bull s#@% when they see it? Romney says he doesn't trust the government to deliver his mail... but he does, everything he sends from his office is sent by the US Postal service. Republicans are so incompetent that they tell you the government can't be trusted, then they mess up and say "see, the government sucks"

ok, do I dare to say, so what if taxes are raised, or how about we fund the military a bit less, after all most of that money goes into crap that we will never use, and not to the soldiers, how about we raise the military pay? soldiers need more money, raise taxes and pay them more

Last time my conservative self checked...bills are signed in to laws by our Congressional leaders.
Now...if memory serves me correctly...the current majority rule in Congress are Democrats.
Aside, from the fact that I know Universal Health care would be too expensive and would require your taxes to be raised...I'd venture to say we don't spend enough money on education!

What you don't understand about socialized medicine is that you don't get to see a doctor when you want or need one and the level of care that you get when you do see someone is way below what we are used to in the privatized world. That is why most people come to the States for their health care from Canada. I have never had to talk to any insurance company BEFORE seeing my doctors so I'm not sure what that's about but you need to look at the failure the socialized system is no matter where it is and the pathetic healthcare those people are getting. Get the facts, always get the facts.

Bad example. The post office is the most efficiently run government program there is. That's because they run as a private company, and turn a profit. It was set up by people who knew what they were doing, the founding fathers. It's not a social program that depends on tax dollars.
do you know why it costs less than $100 to run your dog through an MRI machine? Because animal doctors get their money up front. They don't have to worry about getting sued out of their homes if they make a mistake. Plastic surgery. Lasik Eye surgery. Both of these the prices are falling, while the prices of everything else is spiraling out of control. Why? because if you don't have the green, you don't get treated.
Medical insurance USED to be for catastrophic circumstances only. The small stuff, the stuff you go to your family doctor for, wasn't covered. 25 years ago, if you didn't have the lousy $30 to see the family doctor, he didn't have to treat you. Now you go in, pay your $15 co-pay, your insurance company gets billed for $500 worth of tests that were run only to prevent the doctor from getting his *** sued off, and the insurance company sends a bill for $300 of it to your house a week later.
These are the constitutional responsibilities of congress.

Military spending is in there. Providing health care, food, housing, or any other "right" the American public is conned into voting themselves is not.

Normally I wouldn't respond to a troll like you, but it's obvious that you haven't the first clue about universal health care.
For starters, once the government takes over health care we're stuck with whatever they come up with. That means the government will have TOTAL CONTROL over your health care. Just like every other social program run by the Federal Government, it would become mired in red-tape and the American citizen would be the one to ultimately suffer. Remember the big brouhaha over the deplorable conditions at Walter Reed Army Medical Center? That is a government-run health care facility. It's a small but very accurate glimpse into what universal health care would look like in this country.
Secondly, the universal health care systems in Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Sweden, etc., all have government bureaucrats deciding what treatments you get (and which ones you don't) and how long it's going to take to get care. Ever wonder why so many people from Canada come into the U.S. for medical treatment or to get prescriptions? They have no other choice -- their "wonderful" universal health care won't cover what they need, so they have to pay for these things out of their own pockets. Further, the wait time for treatment in these countries is months, or years, for certain procedures. My aunt, who lives in Ontario, asked her doctor if she could go in for a baseline colonoscopy when she turned 50. She was told she couldn't have one. Their rule is the patient must be showing symptoms of a problem before a colonoscopy is ordered. Um, excuse me, but don't these pencil-necks realize that a person who has colon cancer won't show symptoms until it's too late to do anything about it? Yes, countless thousands of people in these countries that are supposedly more enlightened than the U.S. have died every year waiting for treatment.
Finally, we come to the issue of cost. Who's going to pay for all this? John and Jane Q. Public; that's who. Our taxes will double (possibly triple) just to cover the cost of this cash cow. And as always, illegal immigrants and people on welfare (READ: Those who contribute NOTHING to our society or those who contribute but don't pay taxes because they're getting paid under the table) will get their health care taken care of, compliments of honest, hard-working individuals like me. Sorry. I have no problem with a health care plan that covers children -- heck, it's not their fault if their parents can't provide health care coverage for them -- but NO WAY I'll support another government plan that takes money away from me and gives non-taxpayers or the laziest among us something for nothing.
Are you really that blind that you can't see the bullsh!t the liberals are peddling for what it really is? Another attempt to move our country toward a socialist state. Didn't work in the former Soviet Union, and it sure as heck won't work here.

Nobody currently has to talk to an insurance company before going to a doctor. Just walk in and swipe your credit card. There is no need to talk to a government agent, insurance agent, or anyone else. Who would be in favor of taking away that freedom and forcing all people to deal with the government just to see a doctor?
Your ignorance is astounding. Thank you government run schools.

So you would rather have to talk to the Government before you talk to a doctor?? Nationalizing health care in the US will not work , it will cost to much and also there are too MANY PEOPLE!! Take any other country that "covers" everyone , they are at most 10% of the US population and they all have problems with the cost!!

only a loony liberal can think the government can do anything better than a private citizen.
Think about the ER next time you visit a motor vehicles.
Think about education in last 50 years. Has it gotten better with or worse since governmental take over? Can you explain how we have all this new technology and children's education 50 years ago was vastly better than it now?

Are you really that blind that you can't see how the government's control of anything usually results in more red tape and more trouble than any insurance company can dish out? I bet if Clinton were saying the same thing, you'd be all for it.

Are you so blind to see that nationalization of health-care is just another way to let the Government take control of our lives.
The difference between Conservatives and com libs is that we don't trust the government to pave our streets, let alone run our lives. You com libs on the other hand love to suck at Hitlerys' teat and claim it's the best thing since Cream of Wheat.
Are you that blind, or just stupid?
