Two reporters were talking about 'Halloween.' One was Irish & the other was American. The American was talking about how the British were starting to celebrate the holiday.
This Pagan tradition has been celebrated for around 1,100 years in britain.
How do these people get jobs as reporters?

What they MEANT was the British are starting to commercialise and buy into just another "holiday" for businesses to cash in on.

We celebrate it, but we never "celebrate" it like they do (over the top and completely commercialised). Now we're starting to.

The key word there is American.

To them the world begins and ends in the U.S., and all others are mere pretenders.
