My friends and I are going to make a condolence poster for our friend and her son who just passed away. We're giving it to her husband for Christmas.
I'm debating on either an 8X10 poster with a picture of her and her son under a rainbow with their names along with birth and death dates. Then we all sign it and write our condolences.
Or
same idea as above but on a 16X22 poster board along with a collage of old photos from high school and other special event and photos of her son's first steps, Christmas etc.

I like the second one, and I will even say why. First, which ever you choose, do not sign it and write condolences. I am sure you given them anyway. The signing will forever remind him of the early pain.

The second one would become a keepsake that he could put on the wall and love. Two years from now, he can look at it and say, "It was a wonderful time."

hmmm....the second one sounds way better.. you see, wen sm1 passes away, the relatives would want to remember them in a beautiful way that was real at one point, not an imaginary way like "only happiness" or "only Joy".. so,thru the second idea,u can highlight all the important event and as well as the simplest-sweetest moments that did happen at one time..signing it will show the the receiver from whom he got it from, but stating condolence on a gift that shud be treasured at evry moment will only bring back the memories of losing the loved ones ...
