Your mission should you accept it: 1980- fy me for Halloween!!?

Question

Come up with a GREAT Halloween costume idea using the following criterias!

MAIN REQUIREMENTS:
- 80's themed.
- Not too subtle so that people don't get it. Flashy...somewhat.
- Relatively easy to make in terms of material and parts.
- It has to fit my description (so....errm, no Madonna like a virgin)

Description/me: Male. Black. 5'8. Short hair.


That's it. It can be an obvious fashion statement. A TV or media persona or character or hardcore 80's concept. Be original and out there :)

As it stand my knowledge of the 80's comes from a google image search seeing as I'm a 90's pop culture kid who was a bit.....fetusey during his stay in the 80's so I would be EXTREMELY grateful for this and rep you silly

Yes, you need to be Michael Jackson (pre-freakazoid). The 'Beat-it' or 'Thriller' look would be awesome, but those outfits would be hard to come by.

Here's another, easier to make MJ look that is recognizable:
Get a white cotton glove and glue some small rhinestones on it fro ma hobby shop. Pick up a geri-curl looking hairpiece from a costume shop (or even a beauty parlor for women). Black shirt and slacks (shiny if you can find them). And white bow-tie and white dress shoes if you can find them.

Again, the authentic 80's clothes would be hard to find, but here's how you can come close -
Get a beige men's suit that's casual looking and OVERSIZED. 80's style was baggy. Roll the sleeves up slightly, and get as close as you can find to PASTEL colored t-shirt.

Last - Mr.T from the A-Team
baggy pants, no shirt with vest and LOTS of fake gold chains. And, if you're brave enough, shave your hair into a quasi-mohawk.

either that or wear a large cut sweatshirt and thight pants/ shorts

or be a woman and buy a wig (make it big and teased and everywhere) with a sweatband big sweatshirt (roll up the sleeves and cut off the neck line) and tight short shorts=]
