Thinking of openning your own shop at competitive prices?

You asked a question of the "world", without telling us to indicate where we live and what monetary units we're using (although I see someone was clever enough to include that, above), not to mention which sex we are! (given some of the avatars, user ID's, and inane Q&A on this website, I'm convinced that many folks aren't sure!) ;)

Furthermore, to some folks, a "haircut" includes all sorts of stuff, such as shampooing and conditioning and styling, which will cost substantially more! So, you'd need to ask about that, too!

So, if someone says "10", you'll have no idea what country they live in, what currency it is, or even whether they're a guy or a gal, which, in some countries, makes quite a difference!

So, to get the properly answered ball rolling, so to speak:

1) I'm a male

2) my most recent haircut (two weeks ago; "regular" style) was with a real barber (not a fancy-shmancy stylist)

3) in the US (which, granted, is very broad, but I have no intention of telling y'all where I live!)

4) USD 10 plus a USD 2 tip (he's worth it!)

I don't know what this gets you, but the question sure is a "cut-above" the norm! ;)

When I was living in the city, I would pay 60$.....my current hairdresser charges 20$ but she does such a great job I either give her 30$ or 40$ if she did a superb job. I can't cut my own hair, so I don't mind paying someone when they do it well. I get it cut or trimmed every 8-10 weeks to keep it healthy. I don't get manicures/pedicures/facials...so it's my one beauty splurge....plus the head massages she gives feel soooooooo good!

We go to borics on tuesday and it is 10 bucks. We know who will be there and we know how they groom hair. Quite happy to have a nice cut that looks like a 40 dollar deal.

I don't pay anything because I used to work at a salon and became best friends with a guy who was just starting out as I was on my way out... he does my cut and colour and he's also one of my BFFs
