doesn't it depend on how dirty hour hands are? if you are just washing them to wash them 20-30 seconds should be sufficient. I hope people lather for more than 20 seconds if they had poo on their hands.
How come surgeons wash their hands for EVER? I bet it takes a surgeon with OCD and poo on his hands washes at least an hour, but by then he would have to start all over again.

yes, 30 seconds. If they are grimy then 60 seconds. The rubbing action of lathering is what is important. Also warm or cold water is just fine.

Depends what you have on them! a little dirt will give you a good 20 seconds but really dirty hands from fixing your car or something take much longer, I usually use washing up liuid and Sugar if its oil as its a good exfoliator!

You are advised to wash your hands while you sing Happy Birthday twice. It will get your hands clean and get you sent to a padded room if anyone hears you.

Don't know for sure but I usually soap up and wash at least twice so I can be sure I feel my hands are clean.
