St. Louis, 1983

They were in a pending sale to Bill Hunter of Vancouver before Hunter's bank found out he had no money.

PuckDat................I was really pulling for the Saskatoon Blues at the time. I remember reading in the Chicago paper that Hunter had new uniforms made up and everything, but I never actually saw one.

When the Mayor of Hockeytown speaks, people listen. Chalk another one up to LITY.
Jarrett: He's right. I remember it distinctly, the Blues' table was empty for that draft.
LITY: I remember Hunter making noises about moving the team too but I never thought he was serious. I take it the uniforms would have been green and I doubt the Blues name would have stuck. Still don't know why Calgary didn't call themselves the Cowboys or some such when they moved from Atlanta.
