Interesting question. Let us first start with the tale of the tape.
In red corner, the pride of Saskatoon Saskatchewan, at a hieight of 6 feet, 7 inches, weighing in at 254 pounds, Derek "The Boogeyman" BOOOOOOOOGAARD
Fighting out of the yellow corner, at 6 feet, 9 inches tall, from the tough streets of Trencin Slovakia, Zdeno "Holy Crap is He Tall!" CHAAARRRA.
This is how it would go down in my book. Boogaard would start the whole thing because that is what he does. He will land a few good shots which will stun Chara, it's not often that he fights someone close to his own size. What helps Chara is his reach advantage. After the initial onslought brought on buy Boogaard, Chara starts to get an advantage. His size and strength become too much for "Boogeyman" Boogaard to handle. Chara reigns down rights on the head of Derek until...Down Goes Boogaard...Down Goes Boogaard. He looks like he is donating to the Red Cross.
That's how I see it.

On another note, Brashear and Laraque would own them both.

Chara would win

In an exhibition game between Ottawa and Minnesota in 2005, Chara beat Boogaard in a 3rd period fight quite handily.

McGrattan got KO'd by Boogaard earlier in that game.

Boogaard. He is a beast of a hockey player and he will completely own whoever he fights. It would be a punch to the head which would put Zdeno Chara out of his misery.

boogaard. chara looks like a tiger, but he fights like a house cat. chara out in one punch. i dont think that this fight will happen because boogaard and gaborik are teammates and gaborik would probably get pissed at boogey (gaborik and chara are both from the same town). so boogaard will lay off.

Chara, he hasn't lost that many fights (if any). He's actually more skilled than a lot of people think and has won fights over such renowned heavyweights such as George Laraque (twice), Donald Brashear, Peter Worrell, Stu Grimson and Matt Johnson

I don't believe I've EVER seen Zdeno Chara lose in a fight... lol.

Chara..fist...er....hands down. Chara doesn't fight much anymore because he has been told not to,but I don't think I'd want to be in front of a fist when he finally "has had enough". When he can throw around a 200lb man like a rag doll with one hand...my god stand back when he loses his temper.

that fight would be sick to watch.......i think chara would win but it would be great, like 20 minutes long too. Boogard is an absolute monster and will take two punches to give out one. Chara's not as much as a fighter as he could be but he's no puss

Derek Boogard definetly! He is crazy huge! I got to meet him in real life and he's 6'7", but I love tall guys so it's not a problem, but he is really intimidating. I would be so afraid of him on the ice. Plus, I've never seen him lose a fight. So yeah.. definetly the Boogie Man. :)

Chara has 10 foot poles for arms, he hold's the guy away and starts wailing. Gordie would be proud of him.
