Im 30 weeks pregnant and have not had any complications during my pregnancy thus far. I have pain in my legs but no edema (swelling of the legs or feet). I would like to go to a haunted house.

I have an OB apointment in 2 hours, so will ask my doctor then as well. He always says no to everything though.

Whats your opinion?

During my last pregnancy I went to a haunted house when I was 18 or 20 weeks along.

I skipped going this year, I'm about 24 weeks along, but not for the fear of being "scared" into labor, part of it was I didn't have the time lol, but mostly I didn't like how much people are breathing on you *at least at this particular haunted house*.

They come up and BOOOOO in your face lol and most of the time that's fine....I guess, but being pregnant and not being able to take squat for whatever cold/flu bug you may *or may not* get, I decided to wait until next year.

I would really think barring any other complications, if you wanted to go then I should think it would be fine.

Good Luck and have fun.

I wouldn't risk it. Last year at a haunted house I tripped over a black tarp on the floor and fell face first into the concrete floor! I could just imagine that happening this year being 7 months pregnant! I'm not gonna risk it!

The answer to this question is depending on what haunted house you go to if its like a little kid one then that should be fine but if its for adults I wouldn't take the chance of hurting yourself and your unborn child inside of you. I went to the haunted house last night and there was a girl who was pregnant there and she couldn't handle it. She had to walk back outside and wait for her gang to come back out because she was afraid. So it's up to you if you want to take the chance or not.

Becca makes a good pont about falling down and your heart racing, etc. However, I am pregnant and went to a haunted house this past weekend. Baby and I seem to be fine.

I would listen to your doctor! The babies life is more important than freaking yourself out! Plus you can go next year!
Good Luck!

I think u should becareful if u go. There's not going to be much lighting and it is possible that you could fall or be knocked over by someone else. So it's really your call; be safe.

Yes, but it might scare the baby out of you.
