Hard telling. Randy Johnson, durable in his day, will be 44, with a recent history of ailments. He just may be done.
As to # 2, probably one of the reasons Roger Clemens keeps coming back is to stay # 2 on the list. What's to stop him from doing it again? SOME club would pick him up, if only for the box office. The Rocket's hero is Nolan Ryan and he wants to retire with them 1 and 2 on the list.
If Johnson has a really good season left in him, though, he might do it anyway. If he can do 225 or so Ks in one year, Clemens probably won't be able to catch up.
I think Johnson's done, though, so, no, I don't think he'll do it.

He won't because he's only getting older, and Clemens will assure Johnson, the Clemens is the #2 Strikeout king. Randy Johnson hasn't hit 200 strikeouts in 4 years, and thats a huge problem if he wants the title.
If Roger doesn't pitch next year, (which is always a mystery) and Randy Johnson does there is a possibility.

Clemens will come back just to ensure that doesn't happen.
2008 is, I am 99% certain, Johnson's last season. If he reaches 300 wins, he'll retire. If he is utterly incapable of walking up the mound, he will reluctantly retire. If he stalls somewhere between 297 and 299 wins, he'll convince some franchise to give him a 2009 bargain deal. He WANTS 300.

randy johnson is coming back next year, he will not be a dominating strikeout pitcher but he will get the job done.
if clemens comes back next year i think i will kill myself because he keeps coming back and he finally got injured. if he comes back he is stupid. and can only hurt himself more. and johnson wants to pitch for longer than 2008

No. Clemens will stay at #2. Clemens will make sure that Johnson doesn't move past him.

Most likely he will get #2...
The Rocket is definitely done... get over it... retire already, but this time retire for good...
ANY team that signs him and plays along with his ritual next season of when he feels like pitching after he figures out when he wants to start the season is INSANE....
