I've heard that if you take a really strong stance on something (positive or negative) they will let you off. For example, if you say you're totally in favor of the death penalty, they'll let you go. I'm sure some obnoxious comments when they are interviewing you will help you get out of it. Also, I think (not totally sure on this one) if you're a student, you can get out of it. Like I said I'm not totally sure on that.

I found you some sites with excuses for getting out of jury duty. I don't know how legit the excuses are in terms of actually getting you out of jury duty, but they are pretty funny :) Good luck!

Just hope your juror number is high. Once you do go to jury duty you won't receive another request for like a year.

Why don't you give it a try? It could be exciting. I've done jury duty before for a parricide case. Man, it was a fiasco!

you dont want to get out of jury duty, that **** is awesome... but i suppose if you really want to, you can just go and pretend to be a total moron. or pretend to be racist if there is a black guy on trial...lol basically they want people that are completely un-bias...

i told them that i was a nanny and that i could try to make it but i'd be bringing the kids with me (by the way that was my job at the time i didn't need to find a way out)

the only way that it works is that u have a plane ticket booked waaaay in advance and ur leaving that day

I guess there's no way, except tp say you know the accused and that you can't rule objectively.

i never replied. that simple. done that more than once. hell i even left the country for over 5 years. came back got another..lol..left again.
