You may have exeperienced a very common problem called orthostatic hypotension. Simply put, your BP changes with your body positioning from lying to sitting to standing. When standing too fast, the circulatory system could not keep up with the rise against gravity and there wasn't enough blood going to your brain and you "blacked out" momentarily.
It also could be something MORE SERIOUS such as a syncopal episode brought on either by a neurogenic process such as a seizure or from a cardiac source such as an arrythmia, or irregular heart rate. Or, it could be a combination of disorders, or medication related.
In any event, you chould check IMMEDIATELY with your local doc ASAP.

Symptoms that should have you in the emergency room, not playing around on the Internet. Except for the writhing around on the ground, it sounds like a drop in blood pressure. The writhing around on the ground could mean anything, including an epileptic seizure or diabetes. Get it checked out ASAP, Tiger.

A blood pressure drop when standing up can cause dizziness and very brief blackouts in a healthy person - this is called orthostatic hypotension; however, when these symptoms are combined with involuntary writhing on the floor, it is characteristic of a tonic-clonic seizure.

I sounds like these are symptoms of petit mal seizures. Make an appt. with your doctor or a neurologist as soon as you can! Anything that makes the brain go haywire is something that needs attention.

The type of symptoms that take you to a DR. sounds like it could be anything. Low iron or worse. I wouldn't wait at all. Could be low blood pressure. Signs of a heart attack to come. Just go to a DR.

you need to go to a doctor.
that happens to me a lot and i have anemia,
it could be anemia which means you aren't getting enough iron in your blood or it could be you just got up too quick.
but i would still go check it out.
good luck!
