Should it be illegal, YES. It's a drug and causing thousands of death and cost the US Billions. .

Should it be made illegal again, NO. Even though I have never drank alcohol it is a fact that making it illegal failed. I doubt it will be any different if they do it again. Unless we want to live in a police state, it is imposable to make alcohol illegal and have it solve more problems then it creates.

Nope... I don't think the age should be increased to 21 either.

If it is then it makes no difference for the chavs who ask for the drink from strangers outside the shop. They will just have to ask a person who is slightly older to get it. Except the buzz will be greater as they are further away from being legal. It will make it worse.

Drinking is a old English tradition which shouldn't be abolished, the great proportion of the public drink pretty sensibly the others will do anything to get alcohol.

No. Prohibition increased gang activity, the black market, and wasted police activity. It clearly did not work for our nation then, and I don't see why it would improve anything now.

Remember, banning a substance is almost never enough to stop people from using it, and for every person who abuses alcohol there are many others who are able to be responsible.

By your question I assume you live in the USA.as alcohol has not been illegal in the UK.
If such a move would ensure G.Bush and his henchmen expounded saner views on their foreign policies and reduced their threat to world security..............Yes make it illegal as soon as possible !

no not illegal but revert back to the old pub times,
and withdraw the licences of any outlet that's caught selling
booze to under aged drinkers, with out alcohol you will lose control, but greed of revenue and tax will insure that no body will try to impose a total drink ban, but it needs to be social drinking not binge drinking, some of the states we see on our streets put drinkers to shame.

Certainly not

When alcohol was last banned people started mixing their own liquor which was toxic and worse for you than 10x the amount of the normal alcohol

It could give you blood poisoning, blind you and even kill you

No because it would lead to people making the stuff themselves and it proved in the 1920 Prohibition days in America that it didn't work.
