x – 2y = –4......(2)
(1)+(2)*4: x = 0, y = 2

–3x + 8y = 16 <-- Eq1
x – 2y = –4 <--Eq 2
Multiply Eq 2 by 4 getting:
4x -8y = -16 <-- Eq 3
Add Eq 1 and Eq 3 getting:
x = 0
Substitute 0 for x in Eq 2 getting:
0-2y=-4
y=2
