I try to give everyone a thumbs-up when they answer my questions....unless the answer is off-topic or offensive.

I usually give thumbs up when I choose the best answer although sometimes I will give a person a thumbs up who gave a good answer which was a respectful answer as well who ended up getting a thumbs down. I only give a thumbs down to those who either don't contribute to the question such as they don't answer the question the way it should be answered or they don't take the question seriously or they are downright disrespectful.

I generally give a thumbs up to the responses that I like. I never give a thumbs down, unless the person is really disrespectful.

Depends. If I see sarcastic thumbs down for a question, I go through and give thumbs up if it warrants. I will give a thumbs up to Democratic truths that liberals won't admit.

If the answer was good enough or what I was expecting or if they got the gist of what I was trying to relay in the message with out being too crude, i.e. porno links etc. but I rarely give a thumbs down, except on the occasion that somebody acted the fool and had something stupidly ridiculous to say! :0)

I give thumbs up, unless answers are rude, crude, just totally wrong, or a nonsense answer given just to get two points. Those, I give thumbs down!

I give thumbs up to the 99% of ALL answers i receive. Only those who fail to understand my absurdities receive nothing.
Even lame attempts at humor deserve that small recognition.
Often, when answering, as I scroll up to star the Q I have just answered, I'll TU some OTHERS' answers when those I find are particularly good. I am in no rush, generally to move on to the next item, so why not spread the kudos?
