To keep the human race alive.

Imagine everyone saying what was on their minds at the same time.Every employee in the world saying what they thought to their bosses, every countries ruler in peace talks or meeting other people saying what they really thought.

We would have riots and a nuclear war by the end of the first day.

I know! It drives me crazy... it we would all talk and let each other know how we feel and what we think, we would understand each others point of view better.

People don't out of fear. Fear people will reject them, they need to please others or fear of how they think or feel, afraid to face themselves.

If we just spoke our minds and didn't get offended when other people did, we would not have to live in such fear. I wrote a paper once about people in this country being to closed minded and easily offended. We don't know how to debate or have a open forum of opinion. When our society is uncomfortable with something, we don't ponder it... we attack. It's odd.

Good question!
