If they really did that I would say it was MORE than high time to end that "serious" relationship! Obviously he didn't take it all that seriously. And he's a coward; hiding behind a text message cancellation is bad enough from one of my students avoiding a tutorial they haven't studied for--but from a "serious relationship"?? Come on!
High time to dump the dude.

Well a bunch of p*****. They don't even have the balls to accually use their own voices over the phone. I can understand doing it over the phone, but only if there's no way of seeing the person for awhile. Like during a long distance relationship, but in a text is pretty crappy.
Even if the girl is crazy atleast give her the respect to do it to her face, if not atleast over the phone.
I broke up with my BF over the phone only because he was on the other side of the country, and it was going to be atleast two months till he was going to be back in town.
I think if you do it in a letter, e-mail, and especially in a text your one hell of a coward.

Text messages is only a result of an unfaithfull heart.
If you are married, then why would you sabatoge your most important thing; your marriage over such a little thing? Obviously, the texting is really not the issue. It's "who" you are texting. If it's another man, you have become unfaithfull, and as they say "cheated" or are in infidelity.
It's a shame that so many spouses put such little emphasis on the committment of marriage.

They are dumb becuase it is not like she is cheating unless she is then it is okay but if not there is not reason a relationship is based on trust and love and if you have neither of these then why have a marriage and that is why men usually get mad and leave becuase of stupid text messages.

Seriously what's the big deal about the face-to-face thing? You want them to show your relationship some measure of respect? They want out, so why would you expect that? What advantage is there to being face to face? Aside from closure issues (which I'm not sure I agree with), I really don't see why this is such a big deal.

I think they are jerks - afraid to face reality. They are not worth the time of day.
Good Luck
