Typically in my town, the younger kids go trick or treating from 5-7 at the mall and the outlet mall, the may also go to their friend's houses and safe neighborhoods. Older kids go out later and to more houses, instead of the mall. Do you have any "younger-kid" trick or treating places like that?

I have a 5 and a 2 year old. When we get home from school we are going to eat an early-ish dinner then get dressed to go. Last year we left too late (right at dark) and it was too late for candy and the kids fell asleep!

probably around six. listen to the radio or watch the news to find out what specific times your area is trick or treating; then go about a half hour after it starts.. that way your still early, but not to early to where no one is home from work yet.

Hi! If it were me, I would go as soon as your community start time is. Here it starts at five. That way they can have their fun, and still be home in time to settle down before bedtime. That's what I would do, anyway. Good luck to you, and be careful.

Most towns have designated times to do so. We usually go as soon as it starts, then come home when they get tired.
