I used to donate regular blood every 56 days (the minimum you must wait between donations). Unfortunately, I now only do about twice a year.

Not me - it kind of creeps me out - but I'm glad other people are able to because I respect how important it is.
My brother has actually donated more platelets than anyone in the world. Seriously. The inside of his arms look awful - there are these huge craters where they insert the needle. But I'm proud of him - I'm glad he does it. Ewww.

apparently when you've had a tattoo within the last 6 years they don't let you donate. I've gotten turned away twice, so I don't donate blood.

I only did it once. It was the regular type of donation. I'm not sure if I'd do it again because I cried the entire time it was happening (I was nervous)

i donate my blood every time they send for me ...everyone should if they can, you never know when your going to need it yourself........ :)
