16. I was the back-up for delivering Sunday papers. If you did not get a sunday paper, you called the office I sat in. I got in my car, threw a paper in your drive way, and then drove back to the office. Waiting for another call. There was NO gas allowance and NO answering machine on the phone. If I was out, the phone rang and rang.
PS One customer called 3 times in 1 morning. I delivered papers 3 different times. The third time, I waited down the street. The neighbor across the street was going over and taking his paper!
I told the man about the neighbor, he went over to his house and confronted him. The man wanted the paper for his cat. They did not have kitty litter then.

I was 12 and babysat, at 16 I got a job with a well known artist, doing mailing's and marketing.
