Conservatives have faith that the media is honest, and that our the corporate control of the media is just good business. They have faith in the voting counts,...They trust that america is the good guys and would never abuse our power to pillage weaker countries resources... creating hatred and terrorism for us...
A lib has no faith in corporations or the elite.. or the length the wealthy will go for their own power and profit motive... even war-profiteering... we do not trust the elections to be true or the media to tell the truth..
WHO is right? faith or no faith.... trusting or not trusting?

Faith? I don't see it as faith. Not believing in corporations or the media is just common sense. They have their own agenda usually based in greed. We were taught not to trust the election process. Blind faith will bite eventually.

We have faith in an honest media? Like the Dan Rather "fake but accurate" AWOL hit piece? That's not exactly true.
We have more faith in a corporation running a media operation than the government doing so.
Faith in voting counts? Yeah, that's why we want voters to have to show ID.
And we ARE the good guys.
You want to talk about REAL leaps of faith?
Libs trust the government so much they want to give it control over their healthcare and retirement. They trust the government so much, they want to give it more money and control over their lives. Libs are also the ones who still believe the medias "Bush AWOL" story.
I think liberals have a much stronger and bizarre faith - the faith in government as the answer to problems.

I like your questions, I think maybe it could be a difference of what people have faith in. Having faith in something like god seems different to me than having faith in government, especially when that government continually screws American over. Having faith in the face of that kind of treatment seems more just like being stubborn to what is really going on and not knowing how to deal with it or believing that it couldn't be true because it's so bad.
I think a lot of people want to believe in the good because acknowledging how bad things can be is scary and people would rather live in their little bubble of happiness than to stand up and do something about it.

It's better to just have limited government with more civil liberties than to build these gestapos of corruption! I think most conservatives and liberals do not understand how inefficient, forceful, and unproductive government is! It is really a two way street! If these parties did understand liberty, freedom, and prosperity no one would vote for a republican or democrat ever again!

I'm a conservative and agree with you on most accounts. I don't believe the media is honest though. Not the so called main stream media anyway. They tilt way to the left in their reporting and deliberately try to make Bush and Republicans look bad......

I would be a democrat not a liberal and gasp, beleive in god and church but I also believe in science. They are workable together. Convs are the biggest bunch of brain washed people in recent time. The neocons are nothing more than KKK enslavers of the old world.

your first statement there is a lie. All I ever see from most of the conservatives on here is about how the media is biased, hate-filled, and liberal-minded.
Where does honesty fit into that specifically?
I think many conservatives are wearing blinders actually... they may have faith but it's blind faith.

I don't have faith regarding media honesty, in general (witness 60 Minutes/NY Times, et al).
And I'm conservative.

In general yes. Conservatives have more faith, but not in the things you listed...
Thank you for admitting left wing media cannot be trusted.
(not that we didn't already know that)
