2x+1+8x=6x+37
Put all x's on one side and all numbers on the other:
2x+8x-6x=37-1
When a number goes to the opposite side of the equals sign, it changes sign
Do the maths simply from there
4x=36
x=9

1(4x-6)=6
Multiplication to be done first
The order for the arithmetic operators goes Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction
Anything multiplied by 1 is itself so:
4x-6=6
Again, put the x's on one side and numbers on the other and change the sign of the ones that moved
4x=6+6
4x=12
x=3

2(-2x-5)=-18
Multiply everything in the brackets by 2
-4x-10=-18
because everything is a negative number here, it would be handy to multiply both sides by -1 to make them positive:
-1(-4x-10)=-1(-18)
Becomes:
4x+10=18
4x=18-10
4x=8
x=2

-1(-1x+1)=8
Multiply by -1. This chages the sign of the number you are multiplying so -1x becomes 1x and +1 becomes -1
1x-1=8
1x=8+1
1x=9
x=9

4(3x+9)=108
Multiply the contents of the brackets by 4:
12x+36=108
12x=108-36
12x=72
x=6

-2(2x-2)=-8
Multiply the bracket contents by -2:
-4x+4=-8
-4x=-8-4
Again everything is negative so multiply both sides by -1:
4x=8+4
4x=12
x=3

Hope this gave you an understanding on how to do these and didn't just give you your homework answers!

Oh god this is simple(is this ur homework):
2x+1+8x=6x+37 (you seperate the knowns from the unknowns)
2x+8x-6x=37-1 (when you change sides u change the sign)
4x=36 (divide both sides by 4)
x=9

1(4x-6)=6
4x=6+6
4x=12
x=3

2(-2x-5)=-18
-4x-10=-18
-4x=-18+10
-4x=-8 (we divide both sides by -4)
x=2

-1(-1x+1)=8 (when we multiply 2 negatives they bcome +)
1x-1=8
x=8+1
x=9

4(3x+9)=108
12x=108-36
12x=72
x=6

-2(2x-2)=-8
2x-2=4
2x=6
x=3

good luck hope u understood them(and btw nice way of cheating)

2x+1+8x=6x+37
2x+8x-6x = 37-1
4x = 36--> x = 9

1(4x-6)=6 --> 4x-6 =6 --. 4x = 12 --> x = 3
2(-2x-5)=-18--> -4x-10 = -18--> -4x =-8 --> x = 2
-1(-1x+1)=8--> x-1=8--> x = 9
4(3x+9)=108-->12x+36 =108--> 12x= 72--> x = 6
-2(2x-2)=-8-->-4x+4 =-8--> -4x=-12--> x=3

2x+8x-6x =37 -1
4x/4 = 36/4
x= 9

(no2.) 1(4x-6)=6
4x - 6 = 6
4x= 6+6
4x/4 +12/4
x=3

no3) -1(-1x +1) = 8
1x -1 =8
1x= 8 +1
x=9

(n04) 4(3x+9)=108
12x +36 =108
12x= 108-36
12x= 72
12x/12 = 72 /12
x= 6

(no5) -2(2x-2) = -8
-4x -4 =-8
-4x = -8 +4

2x + 1 + 8x = 6x +37 Whatever you do on one side
- 1 - 1 Repeat on the other
2x + 8x = 6x + 36
10x = 6x + 36 Combine common terms "x" in this
-6x -6x case.
4x = 36
/4 /4 To undo multiplication. Divide.
x = 9
