I just got a new video card and my computer keeps saying "You have not connected the power extension cable" It's the ATI 9800 pro video card does anyone know what I am doing wrong? and how do I fix it?

From what I can remember of my ATI 9800 Pro, I had to plug the power supplie's cable into a molex y adapter like this -->

then one connector had to be plugged into the hard drive and then the other connector into the ATI 9800 Pro card.

For some reason it wouldn't work if i had the card connected directly to the PSU.

NOTE: Some newer model video cards will require that you connect a power cable from the power supply to the video card. If your power supply has an extra power connector, use this. If your power supply does not have an extra or unused power connector, you will need to use the supplied Y cable adapter that came with your new card (if applicable). This adapter splits a power connection from a hard drive or CD-ROM into one that can go to your video card and another to go to the CD-ROM or hard drive. If your power supply has an extra power connection, you should use this instead of using the power adapter cable.

If you installed it yourself, did you plug in the power supply cable to it? The 9800 has a plug which looks like the plug for an IDE hard drive.
