Some of the wackier "christians" make a huge deal out of it, and say it's evil.....it's just fun for the kids. The christians like to preach about how Halloween is about evil spirits or whatever, but everyone in 2007 knows it's just about dressing up and having parties and getting candy.

All Hallows Eve precedes All Saints Day on November 1st, so it is an adapted Christian Festival and in Christianity, if you have good there must be an evil. It's only an imported American bit of fun, allegedly.

Not sure aboot the ins and oots, but when I wiz a wee lassie, I spent the whole week afore Halloween, making ma costume. Now ye just dive tae Asda fur a ready made outfit! When we went tae oor neighbour's doors, we hud tae gie a wee performance. Noo, the kiddies just ask fur money. I think the magic o' Halloween is lost!!!!

I just think it's great we remember old traditions,as for trick or treat that should be for younger children accompanied by adults, not for air heads just using it as another excuse to cause trouble.
From what ive seen on TV the americans have got it just right, they seem to treat it like one big family party.
As for real witches,I use to know one,for them it still remains a special night, like christmas for christians.
Overall i can't see any harm in it,I enjoy Halloween watching a scary movie but don't practice black magic, and i enjoy Christmas but don't go to chuch.
Best of both worlds.

Not against Christian beliefs in my book. Halloween isn't about Satan or Witchcraft. It is just a fun day to be someone you're not and have a good time.
I'm a Christian (former preacher) and I love Halloween

I think it's really good fun for the kids and love to see them happy, specially when you take them out trick or treating they have so much fun. But myself personally I think that maybe it's just a little something I don't really enjoy.

I prefer Christmas and occasions like that better but that's just me sure everybody else has a part of the year that means something special to them, good question hope I've answered to your satisfaction.

Thank you.

Halloween is day and night to go out as something that you aren't or could be. have fun lighten up, its just a night the stores make money off of people buying things like candy and costumes.

,Just another farce, to add to the calender of scrounging, from people ,does not belong to us. There is to much asking for money for this and that now.Sorry to be a bore, but some of us don`t have the benefits of others.

It's fun. Free candy!

Not about wiches and demons, either. I'm a good Catholic and I trick or treat, because it's fun and I like getting with my friends and going out to do it.
