Seals have sharp teeth and a powerful bite, along with quick and flexible neck muscles. Their best defense, though, is their keen hearing and speedy swimming ability.

Different seals have different enemies. Seals can leave the sea which protects them from attack by sharks and killer whales. On land, they can take to the sea which protects them from attack by land based animals such as polar bears in the Arctic and lions in Africa. In the sea they can swim away from enemies and swim with other seals using safety in numbers. Even so, many seals of all species become food for predators every year.

Most Navy SEALs had no prior military experience before becoming a SEAL. All joining the Marines will do is get you a little used to the military life. The reasons you have listed are good, but they could apply to any combat job in the military. You should want to be a SEAL because you want that SEAL trident, because you want to be apart of the small elite community, because you want to put yourself to one of the most instense challenges out there. The reasons you listed are good, but like I said, there has to be more. being in the Marines will not do anything. you just gotta prepare for SEAL training, and if you prepared enough, then you will get through training, if you don't get through training, then you did not prepare enough.

Seals are very fast, strong swimmers, and are very agile as well in the water. They can also go on land if need be, unlike most of their predators.
