There is an old saying for those who do not believe there is a Devil..........."IF YOU DON'T THINK THERE IS A DEVIL, just try resisting him". What is your feeling on this, Halloween 2007?

There is a devil. There is evil that comes from him. Doesnt matter if we think there is a devil or not, THere still is one, and if you give him a chance to get into your life and mess it up , he will, and you may not even know it was the devil that brought you the mess you are in.
Is Halloween evil? Oh yes, and noone should have any part of it, especially those claiming to be born again of God.
You leave the door open for demons to come in thru evil, and its not a good thing. Can bring chaos to you that lasts forever and ever. Till you allow Jesus to break that cruse.
Easier to turn from all sin and leave it alone. Pray against it, speak aginst it and let the devil se eyou wont touch any part of his ways, as you show God you will obey in all things, and then be blessed.
Thanks for asking. You will be blessed now..

The overtones of Halloween are evil. How can someone calling themselves a Christian, think being "spooked" is fun. And why would we want our children to be "scared" or "spooked"? Did Jesus go about spooking people? Would He appreciate us exposing our children to this?

We can say it's about getting candy, and yes, most children believe that's all it's about, but that doesn't mean that Satan is not moving mightily on this day.

I can believe I'm a car, but that doesn't make it so. Someone can believe there's no devil or evil, but that doesn't make it so.

1. Halloween was originally a Pagan holiday called Samhain. How can you have the Christian Devil in a Pagan holiday? And, by the way, "pagan" just means "non-christian", it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the Devil.

2. Samhain was the one night of the year when the evil spirits of the dead walked the earth looking for people to kidnap and take back to their realm. People disguised themselves with masks made to mimic the evil spirits so they wouldn't recognize you as living and kidnap you.

So, dressing up as the Undead is a way of thwarting evil, not a celebration of it.

I think the unbeliever in Christ already is in the Devils corner (knowing or unknowing.) Who can resist, what you are already part of?

The unbelieving world needs to just take a look around to SEE the devils handiwork in PAIN , suffering and death....

The Word of God calls Satan the "father of lies".

The biggest lie of the enemyis satan's non-existance.

If God be true (and He cannot lie), then all other points of view are lies from the devil.

I do believe but as they say in my church even God believes in the Satan.
However Halloween is not about Satan, it is about fun, being somebody else for a day, and getting spooked. Ask any kid if they associate Satan and Halloween I bet the 98% would say, "NO".

There is no devil just a monster created to scare ancient folks into a belief system

Satan has nothing to do with Halloween.

The original pagan festival/celebration had nothing to do with Satan.

Candy, costumes, and trick-or-treating have nothing to do with Satan.

If you're concerned with all things Pagan and think they're associated with Satan, I hope you don't have a Christmas Tree in December or dye eggs for Easter. Those are, after all, Pagan traditions.
