If it says DL on the box, it burns DL in the drive.

Look for DVD+R DL media But be warned, a DL disc costs about 3x tthe price of a normal one.

If it says its DL then it can burn dual layer... unless u installed the wrong drivers and windows thinks u have a different piece of hardware in there lol

But if it says it anywhere on the actual drive, then it would be
