Americans are fooled because billions of dollars are spent every year trying to fool them. Market researchers and social psychologists are paid big bucks by advertisers and other powers to scientifically find and exploit the best tactics to fool the public. It's no accident, it is very deliberate.

Some people let the media control them, others view everything the media says with skepticism.
The lotteries are just simple fun. You are not required to play the lotto at all. Its totally up to you whether or not you feel like throwing away the dollar or two for a ticket.
Big business is not here to serve me. Its there to make money for its stock holders. That's how business works.
The government isn't here to serve me either. Its there to protect me and my family and the things I have worked so hard to get. The government doesn't owe me anything and only people that are pro-entitlement think that it does.
I do have the power of control. If you think a single vote isn't a powerful thing. Just ask Al Gore how powerful an extra 500 votes from Florida would have been.

well, many of us do not let the mainstream media tell us what we should think... and yes, Hillary is horrible. as far as the lotteries go, how do you figure that they are a form of taxation? it's VOLUNTARY. people throw their money away on useless crap anyways.. why not allow them to spend a few bucks on a lotto ticket to help our schools, our children to go to college, and our public roads... with the chance at winning a little cash?? win win situation to me... keeps the government from taking our money in form of NON voluntary taxation.. big business and government slave us out? how so? we each have personal choice.. and we each have a vote.. it's people that have the same views as you that is the problem... negativity never solved anything. it's not being naive if the voice of the people have been heard in washington before to oppose/support issues in discussion... i.e. the amnesty bill, SCHIP, etc etc.. so, it does work... it just takes more than a minority to speak up and tell these politicians what we want... too many people sit back and do not care about alot of what goes on.. but, when the rare occasion arises when the majority speaks up.. washington does listen. what do you suppose we do?? turn communist? vote in a military dictatorship?? what???? democracy isn't perfect.. never was billed that way..it's flexible...it is FAR supperior to any other form of government out there...

I agree don't be fooled by Hellary Rotten Clinton. She plans to turn the USA into a socialist utopia that would make even Karl Marx blush
Think I am lying?
Who said this?
(1) "We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."
(2) "It's time for a new beginning, for an end to government of the few, by the few, and for the few, and to replace it with shared responsibility for shared prosperity."
(3) "(We) can't just let business as usual go on, and that means something has to be taken away from some people."
(4) "We have to build a political consensus, and that requires people to give up a little bit of their own turf in order to create this common ground."
(5) "I certainly think the free-market has failed."
(6) "I think it's time to send a clear message to what has become the most profitable sector in (the) entire economy - that they are being watched."
Now you might think these were the famous words of the Father of
communism, Karl Marx.
And you would be on the right track in thinking so.
But you would be wrong.
These pearls of socialist/Marxist wisdom are from non other than
our very own, home-grown Marxist. . . .
Hillary Clinton!

The masses are preoccupied with the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Cesar said, give them food and games, they don't ask questions.
