Of course, JKR has said in interviews that Hagrid is Gryffindor, But my reasoning got there too:
He never said, but I am sure it was Gryffindor. Let's face it, he's not the sharpest pencil in the box, so I doubt Ravenclaw, nor is he very ambitious, so Slytherin is out.
Hagrid is certainly brave, almost to a fault, but also remember that he mentions in PS/SS that Hufflepuff is not as bad as people say, so there is a chance he was there, but I don't see him as that hard a worker, so I'd say Gryffindor.

Hagrid was in Gryffindor. I'm sure it was mentioned in one of the books, and it has been mentioned in an interview with JK Rowling.

i thought he once said he was in Hufflepuff. In the first book, he told Harry there was nothing wrong being in Hufflepuff, that was the house he was in.

my guess he was a griffindor .. besides why would tom riddle aka voldemort frame him as the one who opened the chamber of secrets and with the horrible monster .. cuz he hates griffindor ^_^
