If you want highest, yes they are, as the 10 tallest mountains in the world (above sea level) are located there.

If you want longest, then the Andes Mountains are the world's longest.

No, The Andes Mountain Range is. It is 7000km long and 500km wide. However, the tallest mountains in the world are located in the Himalayas

If so, no. Although the Himalayas are 2400 miles long they're third to the Andes (4500 miles) and the Rocky Mountains (3000 miles).

THE HIMALAYAS ARE THE HIGHEST RANGE BUT THE ANDES IN SOUTH AMERICA ARE MORE THAN TWICE AS LONG AND EVEN THE ROCKIES AND THE SIERRA NEVADA ARE LONGER. HOPE THIS HELPS.
