Since we went to war for oil, shouldn't we have a surplus? This says there is a shortage, and the cost of oil hit a record high. This surely does not suggest that we are getting all the oil from Iraq that we went there to get.

It's so awesome to be a liberal. You can say we went to war for oil, then you can say that the only reason we don't have it is because we don't fight the war right, and it's always Bush's fault. No matter what evidence you're presented with, it can always be disproved and everything can always be blamed on Bush.

The oil is there for drilling and pumping by US and multinational oil companies. They're waiting for contracts to be signed by the Baghdad government. That may or may not increase the supply of oil to the US. It depends on what the companies and Iraq want to do.

We are there to plunder and privatize Iraqi oil, not to lower the price. We never went there to GET the oil, just to allow well connected people and corporations to control and make money from it.

We didn't go to Iraq for oil.

Went there to amuse George Bush.

(and to find the non-existent "weapons of mass destruction" of course)

The troops are too busy fighting off suicide bombers to let anybody get in there to get the oil.

No- because Bush and his entire administration are a bunch of INCOMPETENTS.
The fact that they failed does not disprove their attempt.
