Probably about 3 to 4 hours.
I just listened to the Bill Cosby album of when he goes to the dentist and he has no control of his lower lip...funny as heck!

I'm a chicken chit when it comes to the Dentist. Last time I went, they injected me with so much novocaine, it took what seemed like hours for it to wear off. I felt like I was drooling all over myself. I got that itch too. I scratched so much, it turned bright red. Next time, I am going to a Dentist that caters to cowards. The kind of Dentist that gives a "happy cocktail" before they do all that poking and prodding and drilling and spraying and suctioning out all that saliva. That way, if I get that itch again.....I will be too "happy" to even care about it.

Poor thing! It will be gone in about an hour or two! Take a nap and in an hour or two you will feel better!
