A guy owes 20,000 in child support. He knows he is in deep trouble. He has attempted suicide before when he lost custody of his kid's due to being stupid and also taking 100 pills. He is more likely to hurt himself over the mom or the kid's right?

There are so many dead beat dads outh there these days. If he loves his children, he needs to suck it up and take care of his kids. Children's lives are stressed enough with school, friends, etc. than to have to worry about if there's going to be a place to live, lights, water, food, or clothing. They don't need any more pressure from good ole dad.

Sounds to me like he is being selfish. The mom is a moot point. But if he loved the kids, he would get his act together for their sake, not leave them wondering why daddy didn't love them enough to stick around.
I'd tell him to get some help, man up, and do whatever it takes to be a father to his children because it's not about him anymore, it is about them.

Under extreme stress and psychological strain there is no telling who a person will hurt. They should get some help before you decide to predetermine their actions.. you don't want to be wrong.
