Atheism is one of the official or unofficial tenets of communism, although in practice there are many religious communists. Communism is so against religion because it sees religion as a direct threat to its hold on power. The way communism is practiced virtually everywhere, worship of gov't and its leaders is substituted for religious worship, in effect making it a secular religion. (Atheism btw is NOT a secular religion, but a separate and distinct field of thought that really has nothing to do with communism.) With the collapse of communism, many formerly communist countries are seeing a large growth in religion as it rushes in to fill the void.

Your assertion that "Most scientists & capitalists believe in god" is, while unfounded, probably true, at least for capitalists. It should be noted, however, that atheism is very high in the scientific community, much higher than in the general population. Scientific American did a survey of religious beliefs among scientists a few years back. IIRC biologists tended to have the highest rates, approaching 90%. A Google search can probably turn up the exact numbers.

As for capitalism, its connection to religion is almost entirely cultural. Capitalist economics itself is indifferent to religion and atheism, except that capitalist countries tend to be freer than non-capitalist ones, and more liberty means a greater ability to practice and spread religion.

Get rich quick schemes in the capitalist business world, (buyouts, IPOs, conglomerates, acquisitions, mergers, and the stock market), do not actually work. Remaining solvent does not actually exist within false economics capitalism.

Profit existing in the capitalist business world, or millionaires existing within capitalism, is pathological deception committed by the 21 organizations spying on the population with plain clothes agents, (with covert fake names and fake backgrounds).

Actual economics is the persons paying the monthly business loan payments of companies voting at work in order to control the property they are paying for.

Capitalism is the psychology of imaginary parents, false economics, and the criminal deception of employees that are paying the bills (including the stocks and bonds, or shares) of companies.

Anti-democracy republicanism is the psychology of imaginary parents, and false government.

It is not that they do not. It is that they CANnot. If they did, God would be more powerful in people's lives, and the Communists need all the power in order to make their murderous and anti-human philosophy work.

communism is based on a leader's cult. all other forms of believes block communistic idealism, so it isn't what communists want from the people - listening only to one leader, which is definitely not GOD.
