I thought so. One time we were backpacking in the Trinity Mountains of northern California, hadn't seen a soul for 5 days. We found this lake in the middle of nowhere. It was really great, like we were the only two people on earth. When we crawled into the tent that night, my wife was saying how quiet and remote everything is without the sound of human activity and it felt like we stepped back in time. When POW! this high powered rifle went off nearby and we're looking for bullet holes in the tent. Very freaky. The next morning we heard this motor and sure enough 5 minutes later this guy and his little kid drive up on one of those off-road 4-wheely things. Another half hour later 5 fishermen show up and proceed to get busy fishing in the lake. So much for our remote wilderness experience. If there's a place on the planet that's not underwater and is unexplored, I'd like to see it.
