Being a sore loser I can understand. (As a Cubs fan, I speak from personal experience.) You're upset, you're disappointed, you need a way to vent your frustrations. But being a sore winner? There are so many posts on here from Red Sox fans bashing other teams. I don't understand this, you won! Why not celebrate it? I have seen several posts about how awesome the Sox are and I smile and understand that excitement but I can't understand those that don't show any class and constantly slam the other teams.

Is it just bragging rights or what?

It's never really bothered me much they're just Superrerefans. You know just like every person we deal with in Chicago that are Sox fans. They could really care less about what they're team is doing they just want to bash on the Cubs. This is what I call SuperReReFans. They're the ones running around barefoot playing the banjo with their toes, banging their sister, and taking the whole family out for dinner at dollar dog night at the cell. When fans are like that I just call em Canaryvillers.

I I was going to say that too!

I'm a Sox fan, and I'm no a sore winner. I think most of it from others is just because of all of the sore losers bashing Boston.
Part of being a fan is the rivalry, and certainly not exclusive to the Sox. Watch any World Series, and you'll see the same thing from EVERY other team's fans. For the most part, it's all in good fun. Don't take it too personally.
Oh, and to the person who said Sox fans have no class - yeah, that shows a lot of class on your part! It's one thing to say you don't like the team, but to say you hate the fans shows that you're a complete moron (and probably a bandwagoner). I may not like the Yankees, but I'm not going around saying I hate Yankees fans, because I don't. Perfect example of a sore LOSER - great job!

1. Red Sox fans are justifiably happy. Two world series in 4 years after 86 years of frustration. We're enjoying it. We're supposed to.
2. Red Sox Nation is a reality. There are Red Sox fans everywhere. I have personally seen it in San Diego, Anaheim, Los Angeles, New York, Miami. It has been going on for years and growing and it's not just Bostonians who have moved.
3. The Red Sox do market themselves well identifying with music like the Dropkick Murphys and other cross-marketing to add to the cachet.
4. We did celebrate. A million people showed up for the rolling rally.
5. We are concerned about our prospects for repeating and want to see key free agents like Curt Schilling and Mike Lowell retained.
6. We don't want A-Rod.
7. If you wanted sore winners, you should have been a Red Sox fan in New York about 8 or 9 years ago. Hopefully that is all behind us now.

Uhhh it's probably got something to do with PTSD from being bashed for YEARS as a Red Sox fan (I speak from personal experience also). For me, I don't think it's really sunk in yet. The only team I bash is the Yankees, because it's OK to hate the Yankees, I don't really bash anyone else because I like everyone else. IMHO

I completely agree with you. I think a few fans feel that because the Red Sox won and I've seen people attacking the Sox fans that they have to strike back. Also I've seen some retards that think it's cool to gloat. My guess is that their probably not real fans of baseball and just think their being cool. As a true Red Sox fan I hate it too because it make us as a fan base look bad.

It's unfortunate, but it's not exclusive to Sox fans and happens all the time. When the Sox were down 3-1 in the ALCS, it was Indians fans on here talking trash, and Rockies fans did the same before the World Series.

I find it annoying and stupid, but there will always be a certain group of fans for any team that can't help themselves.

the red sox destroyed every team in the league, and it's like, i just want to take the time to thank yankees fans that live in denial when their team's falling apart. ha ha, does that answer your question?

some people in the East weren't taught how to win gracefully, it doesn't bother me, I laugh at people who take it that seriously. I don't believe in sore losers either and I'm an Indians fan, so I think for the most part people were cool about it, but I don't like that.

Cubs are my 2nd team, so maybe next year I hope.

what is up with your name is it anti-lesbian/pro hippy? Are you just another ignorant liberal? Just wondering

Anyways root them Cubbies on next year, I just hope my Tribe can do what they did for the most part this year.

They are pissed because they won the world series and people are talking more about the Yankees, Torre, Girardi, and Arod than about the Red Sox.

I think that some people just like to complain no matter what... either that or I guess Cub fans like us just don't understand!
