How long does it take for diflucan to kick in? My doctor prescribed it for yeast but i still feel a burning sensation on the oouter part of my labia. She also prescribed a steroid cream to apply but i'm still feeling uncomfortable. Has anyone ever use diflucan (one does of 150 mg)? I dont feel like it did anything and i took it two days ago!

Wait one more day and if you'll not feel better ask your Dr about the second dose. It seems one is not enough.

My doctor has gave me that like 3 or 4 times. I usually feel better within 2 or 3 days. And i also had a steriod cream to relieve the itching. However the last time my doctor said that the type of yeast i had was kinda resistant so he had to give me one Diflucan and then REPEAT another pill in 3 days. It totally cleared it up

Diflucan is effective for most mild to moderate vaginal yeast infections. However, hopefully your doctor did NOT prescribe a steroid cream for the rash, as it will make your infection way worse! You should be using a clotrimazole cream (or equivalent antifungal cream), and not a steroid.

Yes I have taken that one, and usually it works within 12 hours. Use the cream too but I would use a cortisone cream for the itching only on the outside.. If nothing is happening, you might need another pill, call the doctor and tell them.
