I rarely do anymore but can remember when I was growing up, that we always had lots of safety pins in the house. If I needed one in a hurry & there weren't any, the world came to an end. ~lol~ My granddaughter was at my house the other day & asked if I had a safety pin & I almost fell over. I didn't think teens used safety pins anymore. :)

Have to admit that I've gotten really find of that iron-on tape...but still keep the safety pins around because you never know when you're going to need one in a pinch.

What would we do without them! My grandaughter was putting her costume on today at lunch time for school and the zipper split wide open up the back. I had to use 5 safety pins up the back.

Oh yes, Daisymae. I do use them. For when a bra strap
breaks, or something needs to be held in place. I
always keep some in my knitting bag to hold dropped or live
stitches in place so I can knit them in later. It keeps them from making a ladder down the knitting. They also are
an excellent way to mark my place in my knitting. I count
rows and stitches from where the safety pin is.

I keep half a dozen small ones in my change purse for clothing emergency repair.
Just yesterday I took my older friend to the Dr. I had to help her remove a cloth money belt for her examination. Lo and behold she had 20 large safety pins on the back. I mentioned it to my husband andhe said he had taken her to the dollar store to buy them. She pins keys, money, little bags with what she considers valuables to her clothes.

Yes, I still use safety pins, they can come in real handy in case of a little 'emergency'.

How do you think I get my bra straps hidden when I wear a big necked top? Safety pins. I don't' know what I'd do without them. I have a supply in my desk drawer for anyone who has a tear, missing a button, or wants to hide their bra straps, too!

I do. I pin the bottom of my sweat shirt to a pair of sweat pants so there is no elastic pressure on my stomach. Easier working out or lounging around.

I do! And it's funny - around work it is I who people come to asking 'do you by chance have a safety pin?' LOL

They have come in handy for me from everything from a rip/tear/broken waistband hook to re-fastening the arm of my glasses!
