I mean the NBA with their thuggery, hip-hop, ballhog Era. I'll give the ball to my best player, let him get fouled 30 times and go to the line.
OR
The NHL players are getting severly hurt for cheap shots (fighting is ok) Jesse Boulerice, Tood Bertuzzi, Marty McSorley. The new salary cap, long season, unbalanced schedule (Why some Canadian teams don't play each other?), and no teams in Winnipeg or Quebec, but teams in Florida and Phoenix?

I much rather watch college hockey and college basketball.

Tokyo-Arguably, the worst fight ever happened in the NBA. Pacers/Pistons '04. The Pacers players were as much to blame as the Pistons fans.

The NHL is worse for on-ice incidents, but outside the arena it's definitely the NBA.

I'm disgusted by what I've seen from guys like Downie and Boulerice, and even more by the fact that the NHL has let themselves fall so far down that they're stuck having Versus as their network for broadcasting games in the U.S.

Off the court/ice, the NBA is much, much worse. You rarely hear of NHLers getting into fights, waving guns, allegedly raping hotel staff, or being arrested for their third drug possession charge. In the NBA, though, arrests like that are far too common and drag the league's reputation through the mud.

At this point, I'd rather have the job of cleaning up the NHL. Those problems you listed could be solved by redoing schedules, handing out longer suspensions, and shortening the season and playoffs. The NBA, though, needs to change the whole culture of their league, and that's a tougher battle.

While zipping downhill, a 14 inch image is projected five feet in front of wearers, in an unobtrusive corner of their field of vision. A host of sensors track speed, airtime, altitude changes, heart rate, outside temperature and more all viewable on the goggles' interface.

Controlled by a wrist mounted, glove friendly Bluetooth remote, users can link the goggles to their smartphone to take incoming calls, receive texts, plot routes on a map, all while keeping their eyes on the slopes. Best of all, the system's modular design enables it to be integrated with many of the world's leading goggle brands. There's a range of options to choose from, all in the ballpark of $349 to $449.

This is a tough one. It's obvious that America likes the NBA much more. But both sports are tarnished in some way. I think the NHL has suffered alot more than the NBA from all of this.
Personally, I like the NBA more just because Wisconsin, my home state, has a NBA team but not a NHL team. Nevertheless, I have a great respect for the NHL. The league has made a tremendous comeback from its near extinction.

And your right, college sports are much more enjoyable. The kids are playing for school pride, not for money.

NBA is worse, and i dont watch it that often but last night for example there was no sports on so I watched LA vs Houston. After about 20mins i realized why i dont watch NBA basketball. Watching Kobe Bryant take 40 shots is not entertainment to me. In college its a team sport with players who shine. Thats prolly why i like the NHL better its still a team game.

Thats a good Q. I have to say the NBA, but my fav NBA team actually has a good team this year so I may change my mind this season. GO CELITCS!
NHL lost my respect when they expanded all those crappy teams in San Jose,Carolina, all the warm areas where hockey cant be played outdoors. They need to bring back the Canadian teams.

I have to say the NBA is much much better. There is hardly any fighting and the fans don't look nearly as creepy. Even if fighting occurs the NBA will actually punish the players. In hockey you can break some body's neck and get five in the penalty box as punishment.

BOTH OF THEM!!! It doesn't make any difference whether it's the NBA, MLB, NFL, NHL or even the WWE it's always some kind of scandal going on. Especially when it comes to the use of steriods.
