I know this is going to sound like a movie...but when you hear houses and its not the house settling dont go and investagate because your wont come back. So I leave depending on were the house is at. If its in a good neighborhood I'd stay and ask the ghost to leave or help pay the mortgage. Cant help pay you cant stay. So they have to leave. If you cant wipe your own @$$ or make a sandwich you cant stay.

It depends. If the spirit is too powerful for you or bothers you, you can just leave the house. if it is not bothering you, why would you bother them by driving them away. If you really liked the house and there is a powerful ghost around you, or you just didn't like the idea of having a ghost, then drive them away. well it is still your choice.

my house IS haunted.

it is haunted by the ghost of a cat (imagine that) that we think got stuck in the cubbyhole(we have a stupid cape) of my daughter's room.

as long as the cubby stays a bit open ,we don't have any occurances , but if it is locked shut, we are made aware of him.

In fact ,even some of our overnight guests have had him pad around on their beds , and settle down next to them,at night, too.

I once lived in an old house which had been converted to apartments. Just outside our apartment door was the door to the attic. There was an old rocking chair in the attic, and periodically we would hear it rocking as if someone was sitting in it. When we went up to investigate, the chair was empty and still. Then, as soon as we got to the bottom of the stairs the rocking continued. So, yes I think there was a ghost but it did not seem malevolent so we just accepted it.

I am a ghost hunter so I would most likely document all activity but if the entity were hostile I would let them know that they did not belong there and ask them to leave. I have done that before and it worked. Ghosts are nothing to be afraid of. They can't hurt you, but you could hurt yourself by panicking.

I'd probably stay and try to find out if there was anyone killed in the home or who died while owning the home. I have lived in numerous houses with ghosts. If you recognize it's there, it's not as terrifying to see it as when it catches you off guard. If he's not making trouble, just treat him as an "unseen friend". If he's making mischief, tell him it's your house now and he's not welcome. Good luck.

No devil or ghost can ever stay together with me, after all the training I got under my mother in law, so I am sure there is no one equal to me , be it the devil or the ghost in my house

Depends on what things are happening. If it is hurt full, I would have the home blessed by a priest with holy water or something along those lines. If it was nice, hey try and talk to it or get it to do something for you to figure out its name and why he/she is still there.

probably flee in terror. Either way, I wouldn't get a good night's sleep there ever again.

I would get the hell outa there...if the ghost was a bad *ss. If he was a friendly ghost like casper...I'd try to get him outa there and maybe on his merry way. Who you gonna call...Ghostbuster.
