Doctors are human and humans make mistakes. God is all powerful so he could raise himself from the dead

Hello,
There has never been a case where someone has arisen from the dead after several hours or when rigamortis has sent in. Death experiences occured only when people were out a few minutes and the brain was still alive; it takes almost 8 minutes for the brain to die. People who went to morgues and woke up, were not checked well and this happened years back when there were no life sign monitors etc.
It is hard to prove Jesus' situation. Even this guards would have had to have altered their stories regarding the tomb since they would have been accused of sleeping on the job, punishable by death in the Roman army.
Cheers,
Michael Kelly

I couldn't help but notice that you chose Halloween to ask your return-from-the-dead question with an obvious religious slant to it. You even put it under "Mythology...", which has nothing to do with the question! I think you need to speak to your priest or a psychiatrist about your confusion between the sacred and profane!
Regardless, there are staggeringly few incidents of people awaking after being considered dead, except on TV and in the movies, so you are overstating an exceedingly rare event; more people have been struck by lightning or won the lottery! And, let's not confuse this with "near-death" experiences, in which someone ALMOST died (i.e., they hadn't been declared such).
Besides, there are plenty of "natural" reasons for people "waking up from the dead", such as being put into a form of stasis after drowning, especially if it is extremely cold (of course, there are other factors, but it's not worth discussing, here), not to mention doctor's mistakes (can you sue for malpractice if you survived???).
Semantically speaking, I suppose that a person who has been declared dead but then recovered, might be considered "risen from the dead". Can I have a "Hallelujah", brother? ;)
At the risk of being trite, instead of being obsessed with death, you should revel in the joys of life!
Good luck!
P.S. Without the last predicate, this question should have been put under the "Health..." forum. With the last predicate, it should have been put in the "Religion" forum. Please take care to place your questions in their proper forums.

Last question first; No, the same thing didn't happen to Jesus. Remember, Jesus was run through with a Roman spear. Those folks you ask about were not and probably suffered only clinical death which sometimes is just a misdiagnosis. Or their metabolism was just severly slowed down by trauma, drugs or shock and they were not truly dead.
Best.

Sure, why not?
The only problem with your posit of this happening to Jesus was that he supposedly immediately ascended to heaven (or went to North America, if you're Mormon) and didn't just hang around with his homies like you'd expect a "normally" reanimated "dead" guy to do.
Doesn't it make more sense to just assume that Jesus is a myth?
