I was with the program runned by my local county and they didn't really bother to do much for me. I was homeless and living on the streets and they sent somebody in to help me. We'll they did absolutely nothing for me. I have no papers and nothing else except proof that I am homeless. I really don't have proof that they caused this other then them leaving me to die. Its really hard to find attorneys that will represent me. Is there any suggestions out there from people that I could do about it? I live in Penna.

I'm sure that you can do something to get the county to help support you. They usually have a general assistance program. If you are disabled and you made an application to Social Security, you can often get back support to the date of the application. But this is support that you were entitled to. There are also a lot of charities that will help.

As for suing them for their past failures to take care of you, that is a real long shot. That's because they have no "duty" to you, per se.

I'm glad that you are looking into this, not because you are necessarily entitled to anything, but it is a good sign that you are putting your life back together.

You can pretty much sue anyone for any reason. The real question is can you find legal assistance to help you file the suit and might you prevail.

You should start with your county social services. Most areas have legal assistance volunteers. If no one will take your case, it is probably because they don't see a likelihood that you will prevail, and you should accept that.

Good Luck.

you are homeless and left to die but have access to a computer???? i don't think you are as bad off as you think and maybe they felt the same way...
it is time to step up to the plate and quit making excuses for why you are where you are today... we are all in control of what we do and don't do which is our freedom ( unless you are in jail ). all you need is an address and social security number to get a job... go get one... any job will work... that is your first step... and don't spend time coming up with reasons not to, come up with some reason you have to!!
always remember~ life won't quit you... but you can quit life... don't be a quitter!!

Are you proposing that your county is responsible for your life? Should you sue your county for "letting you go"? Well, maybe, if the rest of us should sue your county for not killing you at birth.

OF COURSE NOT, YOU IDIOT.
