If so, why?

I do occasionally because:

1) After reviewing the answer, I realize that it's a lousy answer and that I really have nothing of value to add;

2) After answering and noting the other answers, I realize that I'm the umpteenth person in a row who said the same thing;

3) After reviewing the question, I realize that it does not merit a response at all -- I shouldn't have taken the bait in the first place.

Nothing to do with an oversized eqo and numbers, as some might suggest. :)

What's wrong with wanting to produce quality work?!?! LOL

LOL!!!

Yeah, that is a bit excessive on the analytical side, isn't it?!?! Really funny now that you point it out. LOL!

Sure, go right ahead and post -- I shouldn't have even posted it over there, but I obviously could use the help. The answers aren't very good or plentiful.

Thanks. :)

I sometimes delete them when I know people who are NOT on my contact list like to go through my answers and troll the next day---some answers make me feel vulnerable, so when I'm no longer in the moment, I don't want to see them.

Secretly, I like to delete my answers more often because I sometimes don't make any sense after the fact. However, I don't like to be regretful, so I usually just leave them, and adapt the "I don't care" attitude. I think it may just be a case of my big ego not wanting to show hesitation or insecurity LOL. People with big egos may react differently tho'...cuz I know of people with big egos who care about numbers and are particular about their "performance," so if the answer isn't perfect, they usually delete them.

I wish I could delete some of my month-old answers tho'..ugh!

What about you?

EDIT: Wow! You actually have a point system for deleting answers. When I thought I was overly analytical LOL.

Quality work is great, but do you think sometimes when it doesn't look like "enough" quality to you, it may still be of quality to someone else? Not everybody has such high expectations :) I have gotten BA for answers that I thought were pretty worthless.

PS: Did you want me to respond to the other one too? LOL

EDIT: Of course! I got your back LOL

I did once. I realized I went a little too far, and decided I better delete it.

I did, because as soon as I asked the question, I found the answer somewhere else.
