The answer is B.

African Americans were not enslaved in the army. They volunteered. And I believe they had the same benefits as other soldiers, but there was still a bias toward their abilities. They faced predjudices not only from their own union army, but obviously the confederate army.

I would think a better category for these type of questions might be:
Home > Education & Reference > Homework Help

... rather than Mathematics.
