All hollows eve is the day before all souls day, that's Halloween. Christs mass is Christmas. So where's the conflict. Now where the candy and the Christmas presents have to do with those religious holidays I don't know, but I don't have a problem with those being part of the celebration. How many people would even know about all souls day if it wasn't preceded by Halloween festivities.

What i can't stand is the commercialization of the Christian festivals and here in Britain the PC councils undermining the public displays of our nations Christian heritage. A lot of the Halloween traditions came from the states treat or treat for example and the pumpkin for me the concern is kids dressing up in costumes related to18 rated slasher movies . It is bad enough that there's more of these grotesque films we have Saw 4 coming out here in Britain soon in my opinion there should be banned it has gone to far.

How true, but I celebrate the Winter Equinox as the pagans did. Halloween I am afraid of as I had a long ago ancestor tried as a witch during the Salem Witch trials. Happy Halloween.

Too early for nuts. Me, I am getting all this Christmas stuff in the mail, and it's not even Thanksgiving yet. I am waiting for it to be all rolled into one long 365 day holiday called ChrEasterGivingWeen.

No. I'm not afraid or intolerant of religious beliefs and traditions. Even those belonging to different religions. Why? Because I'm a Conservative.

No. What bothers me is the removal of Christmas tree and nativity scenes at the whim of the ACLU.
