Does anybody know how long he is signed on with the Red Sox or will he be offered a deal in 2008?

I've been looking all over to try to find out.

He may have signed a minor league contract as stated in the first answer, but his service time still counts and means that he will be eligible for arbitration after the 2010 season, assuming he sticks with the Sox going forward.

He would have three years of arbitration eligibility, and would become a free agent after six years of service time (likely after 2013). At any point during those next several years, the Sox could avoid the prospect of his becoming a free agent by inking him to a deal.

All of this, of course, could be affected by a new CBA to replace the current one that expires in 2011, although it's not likely.

He currently has a 3-year, 4 Million dollar contract to 2010. He will probably opt out in 2010 being a great ball player.

jacoby will be with the sox for awhile. he currently has a minor league contract that runs unil 2010. after that expires they can re-sign him to a major league contract.

with the current contract he has, he is able to play in the MLB or AAA with Pawtucket until 2010
