Kind of I guess considering the origination of Halloween and why the Pagans celebrated it. I never really though of it like that before. Funny.**

An "oxymoron" is a combination of words that are, ordinarily, opposites, such as "jumbo shrimp" (never mind that "shrimp", in this case, is a noun, not an adjective) or "military intelligence" (okay, that was a cynical remark, but it's a common joke; the phrasing, I mean, not the military!).

Since the words "happy" and "Halloween" are not opposites in any way, shape, or form (i.e., one is a state of being, while the other is a celebration), the answer to your question has to be "No."

BTW, what does this have to do with "Politics"?

No.

If you revel in drinking blood, cavorting around graveyards at night and casting Spells ...

If darkness, demons, voodoo and death is your thing ...

If finding razor blades embedded in the roof of your mouth after eating your Trick or Treat yummy candy stash, turns you on ... then ... "Happy Halloween"!

"Moronic" perhaps but 'not' "Oxymoronic".

No, Halloween is a holiday, which is about fun and dressing in costume. It is one day a year our whole society has permission to "play-" even at work.
I am dressed as Prime Minister Indira Gandhi--at work, and we having a contest. With money prizes.
Lots of people chose to be "party-poopers" and righteously "Have to work." Like I don't.
So Celebrate a fun day, be happy, and safe and enjoy being a human.
It is only about terror and devils, ghosts and demons--in these modern times- to those who chose to go there.
Not me. Happy Halloween.

Only if you perceive Halloween to be a ghastly, ghoulish holiday.

Fact is, it once was a day when (according to Celtic tradition) the spirits make contact with the physical world.

I don't know about you, but I don't really consider that essentially scary.
Actually, I think that would be pretty cool.
Imagine talking with someone who died centuries ago...and the questions you could ask them!

But I digress.
I get your point, but I'd say no, it isn't.

No it really isnt
simply because Halloween is a celebration and should be happy
just like Christmas... in actualy fact it should be a depressing time. But as we celebrate it its not suposed to be oxymoronic.

Only if you're a Cure fan or Imo! I love Halloween, and it's happy for me because I love dressing up in costumes and the candy too.
People who are against Halloween have way too much time on their hands.

Halloween is not supposed to make Christians happy. Those who are not could care less.
